sexy fish in the city

Our client had just completed their new headquarters on King Street and wanted to mark it with a lunch that their guests would actually remember. The brief: take Sexy Fish, one of London's most recognisable restaurant brands and redesign it on the top floor of a corporate office, fully operational and for 80 covers. And so came about Sexy Fish In The City.

The space was configured from scratch. Spatial flow, guest comfort and service efficiency had to work within the fixed constraints of the building. There was no loading dock, no kitchen, no back of house area designed for this kind of event. This became the main task, to recreate an iconic brand with minimal operational flexibility, but without compromise. We onboarded Sexy Fish's own culinary team to execute the signature menu alongside our own brigade of chefs and waiters, this meant complete brand integrity on the plate and during service without compromise.

Pulling a restaurant out of its home and putting it somewhere entirely different, without losing what makes it what it is, requires more than good design. It requires understanding the brand well enough to know which details are non-negotiable. The result was an elegant lunch which both looked, felt and tasted like Sexy Fish.
