Angelo’s

Beltane Property Management wanted to launch One Millennium Bridge with something that bore no resemblance to a property launch. The building was grand and ambitious, with a rooftop that had bags of potential. The brief was simple, to show City agents what the space could become, not what it currently was.

A branded activation or a catered reception would not suffice, but a dining destination, conceived and built in 24 hours, that would make guests forget they were standing on a development site, this would be an event suitable for such a building. From that idea, Angelo's was born: a South of France-inspired outdoor restaurant.

A complete brand identity was developed exclusively for the event, extending across scenic design, bespoke logos and menus. Angelo's was designed to feel like it had always been there. The kind of place you stumble into on holiday, order your favourite dish, and return to every night until the flight home. We drew on family-run Italian trattorias and unfussy brasseries, the familiar, almost mainstream haunts that somehow still feel fresh. Think white linen tablecloths and old-school branding which feels like it’s been hand drawn, but with an elegance that's hard to pin down. More of a feeling than a design. We raised the service to fine-dining standard, and the result felt less like a one-day pop-up and more like a timeless institution.

MasterChef: The Professionals finalist Yann Florio curated a contemporary European à la carte menu served throughout the day, from breakfast and lunch through to an intimate VIP canapé reception in the evening. Dishes included Yellowtail Crudo with citrus and Espelette, Salt-Baked Sea Bass with fennel and orange, and Petite Tarte Tropézienne with orange blossom and fresh raspberries. Bespoke cocktails complemented the menu, while DJ Daisybelle set the tone with relaxed, lo-fi beats.
